DevOps Engineer (f/m/x)
Thales in Austria is a full system provider and global supplier of train control technology and traffic management systems (f. ex. European Train Control System (ETCS), Electronic interlockings, Operation Control Centers and dispatching systems, Field elements).
As part of the Engineering Team you will contribute to the design and development of a full stack generic digital platform and assist application development teams to integrate business specific applications. YOUR CHALLENGE

Development and optimization of an on-premise full stack generic platform for railway products with focus on high availability, reliability and cyber security

Support development teams in cloud native application development and deployment

Setup and maintain build, release and deployment pipelines (CI/CD)

Design and implement a robust diagnostics and monitoring system

Collaboration in a distributed agile team
YOUR PROFILE
-
Technical Degree preferably in Informatics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar

2+ years of relevant experience and technical know-how on

Cloud and virtualization technologies (KVM, OpenStack, AWS EC2, VMware vSphere and similar)

Container and container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes …)

Scripting of automation processes around CI/CD (Jenkins, Groovy, Python, Bash, Ruby, …)

Linux administration experience (Ubuntu, RedHat, …)

Developer knowledge (12 Factor Apps, Spring Boot, …)

Monitoring and log collection solutions (Prometheus, Elk, Nagios, …)

Experience working in an international context (multi unit/multi site) is an advantage

Experience in agile methodology is an advantage

Fluency in English and a good level of German

The salary for this position ranges from € 52.000 to € 62.000 gross p.a. Actual compensation is based on experience and qualification and can exceed the mentioned range.
