Under the overall leadership of the regional Head of Legal & Compliance, and in close coordination with the Global Chief Compliance Officer and Global Chief Ethics Officer, enable and drive compliant and ethical business conduct through the effective implementation of the Ethics & Compliance program at the region / country level.
Working closely with global and local stakeholders, the successful candidate will:
- Regionally implement Global Legal Compliance & Ethics programs, including Code of Conduct, Anti-bribery & Corruption, Conflicts of Interest, and Speak Up, driving the establishment and maintenance of local procedures for the relevant policies at the regional and country level, and developing, implementing and coordinating a regional training strategy on these topics;
- Stay abreast of the evolving regional regulatory landscape and guidance along with industry leading practices in all relevant areas relevant to the ASML business and operations;
- Act as the bridge between the Global Compliance & Ethics Office and regional management on Ethics & Compliance programs and topics, continually providing advice and guidance to the region / country management relevant topics, challenges and major initiatives;
- Organize and lead the local Ethics liaison organization with support and content from the Ethics Office;
- Together with the Global Ethics Office and/or the Global or Local Legal team, investigate Ethics incidents and claims, including harassment, bullying, fraud, or other violations of the ASML Code of Conduct;
- Review and analyze third party due diligence, and implement controls and monitoring for ethical conduct by third parties acting for or on behalf of ASML or other business partners;
- Working closely with related functions, build and execute continued controls, monitoring and reporting for various policies and regulations in the defined compliance areas, including anti-bribery & corruption/anti-fraud, gifts & entertainment, and antitrust;
- Actively involve region / country leadership to leverage key compliance messages and to maintain high level of awareness (i.e. “tone at the top and at the middle”, implementation at all levels within the organization including in the field).
